The COVID-19 pandemic has dis-proportionally affected racial and ethnic minorities. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Blacks and Hispanics are 2.8x more likely to die from the disease than whites. Texas Biomed’s VP for Development Dr. Akudo Anwanyu will discuss factors affecting the public health of minority populations, as well as offer insight on vaccine hesitancy within the Black community.
