The city is launching a three-year effort to identify, preserve and protect cultural resources tied to black history in San Antonio. A public meeting will be held Thursday, August 11th at 6 p.m. at the Little Carver Civic Center 226 N. Hackberry so that residents can share their own thoughts, and experiences and provide guidance on this project.
The advisory panel of scholars and community members includes NAACP-SA members Dr. Gregory Hudspeth and Maria Greene.
A survey will be open until August 15th so that individuals can contribute photos, stories, events, experiences, and information that should be recognized. Please participate in the survey: https://publicinput.com/F7651
