The San Antonio Branch NAACP is sponsoring the 73rd Freedom Fund Dinner on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the University of the Incarnate Word’s McCombs Center Rosenberg Skyroom, 847 East Hildebrand, at 7:00 p.m. The keynote speaker is Mr. Leon Russell, Chairman for the National NAACP Board of Directors. Political Action. Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) Certification Training. The Bexar County Elections Department offers 3 options to become a Deputy Registrar: 1) Virtual Training via Zoom meeting, 2) On-Line Training, and 3) In-Person Training. Transportation: VIA Transportation will provide FREE RIDES TO THE POLLS for all city, county, state and federal elections for anyone who needs transportation on Election Day and displays the voter registration card.
