ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.  Property fraud is when a party fraudulently records documents against your property for financial gain or to take over ownership without your knowledge.  Bexar County and the County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark are introducing VANGUARD PROPERTY ALERT—a free real property alert system.  Go to the public search website and click on the Property Alert link to sign up.  https://bexar.tx.publicsearch.us/

After creating an alert record, you will receive email notifications anytime a document is recorded matching your property or name.

 

Free High School Equivalency Classes sponsored by Alamo Colleges District.  Program eligibility:  18 years old, Valid ID, Social Security Card, Proof of San Antonio residency.

TRANSPORTATION

Walters Street Bridge Update:  The contractor is scheduled to begin pouring concrete for the Walters Street Bridge overlay later this week.  The process will take 3-4 weeks to pour and cure before reopening the bridge to the traveling public in late November.  Once the bridge reopens, the contractor will need to perform guard rail work.  However this work will be performed utilizing daily lane closures and will not require a full closure.
