Anthony T. Browder, the first African American to fund and coordinate an archaeological dig in Egypt, has conducted 23 archaeological missions to the region since 2009. He has devoted 30 years to researching ancient Egyptian history, science, philosophy, and culture. Recently, he visited San Antonio to present the lecture “The African Contributions to Civilization from Africa to America,” sponsored by the San Antonio Black International Film Festival, Melaneyes Media, and the Carver Community Cultural Center.
